I wouldn't call SWOT a 'tool', except in the ironic usage. It is more a ceremony without a context. If you want to consider future actions, you need a plan: a goal, a strategy to achieve that goal and the capabilities and constraints that would either achieve or frustrate the goal. If there are constraints, can they be overcome? What projects do you need to run to provide any capability lacunae? Then you have something to take to a symposium to discuss alternatives, based on documentation distributed before hand.

Event Planners and Travel Agents are in the same category of hospitality management. There are both jobs that can turn into a career as they have multiple layers of management. A travel agent can be an event planner and both can travel. She can also look into working for a hotel or a cruise line.
